Musician turned Actress or Actress turned Musician?

Hey Guys
Have you ever wanted to just be in a movie it didn't even have to be a good one just a movie that people would see you with the cool makeup the styled hair the great lines, I always do! lol actually I want to be up on a stage first playing music before I ever got into acting but then again would I liked to be labled musician turned actress? or actress turned musician? what about you. I'm thinking musician turned actress cause haven't you ever judged someone like Paris Hilton (Movie: House of Wax) or Lindsay Lohan (Movie: Mean girls, Georga Rule) when they made the leap from acting to singing...they didn't get much repect when their album came out (I didn't buy either of them) But it seems when Musicians like Mandy Moore (CD: Wild Hope) or Justin Timberlake (CD: Future Sex Love Sounds) they had great reviews when their movies entered box offices Mandy with 'A Walk to Remember' and 'Because I said so.' Justin with his movie 'Alpha Dog.' So why is this? Is music harder than acting or is because everyone knows what is good or bad music?

My problem here it would I rather start acting when I have the chance while my music career is working its way up or keep working on my music and start acting later when I have time? What's your thoughts?

I think the reason is that there is respect when going from singing to movies, is that you've work very hard to get your name out, but you're face may not be seen as much. You had to work hard to get where you are, so people have more respect.
If you're an actor(ess) first then switch to singing, you're already exposed a lot, so people just think that you want more attention.
